“Lush”
this morning scene
with themes of green
the prairie flowers and wild grass
post days of rain which came to pass
at least in this moment
with an intermittent sun
perhaps in a waltz dance
with both clouds and chance
and melancholy undone
that red budding romance
and harmony of spring hues
looking forward to stories shared
with all good company
gathered around
these fallen branches we’ve found
with marshmallows to roast
and good sentiments to toast
because life is a rush
in this spring filled lush...
