“Not to Worry- it was just a Dream”

Arriving home after enjoying some local, live music performances, I took notice of the bright yellow maple by the lighted walkway of my home. The profound and recently presented color change pretty much summed up my evening... perpetual inspiration and appreciation post a full morning and afternoon of mild weather accents on this beautiful autumn day. One of my dear cousins flew in for a special, 4 hour visit to just hang. She had also lost her father once upon a time, so sharing experiences and navigating some sort of meaning while cross checking closure felt unique and special. I’ll be gearing up (literally) to capture a number of fall compositions in the coming days- with the intention of expanding my organic mosaic collection to include this beautiful season. I still wake anywhere from 1am to 2:30am... thinking I still have to rush to the hospital to take care of Pa. I know this now irrelevant routine will subside in time. But, for the time being, I have a momentary place to go and witness the beautiful color this season has to offer. How amazing was it this morning to witness those yellows convert to beautiful reds in a matter of hours?! This middle- of- the- night- interlude seems to have a perfectly timed purpose. Maybe it is the fall season colors that can soothe the soul during bouts of sorrow, stress & angst. Maybe that abrupt and yet gentle transition was simply this October’s autumn whispering, ‘not to worry, it was just a dream...’
