“Like a Rainbow with No Sun”To know Where the leaves goThat fall on these groundsAnd land as rain drops do-Random with those rustling soundsYet with deliberate purpose of asymmetryWith trunks that remain to beSo defined despite the wind raking these green transitionsAnd sending lose branches in flowing positionsPlaying to this daydream I’m inFor it is only with awe to seeColors never still and still dancing with meAs my eyes continue to questionWhich path to follow-A prepared trail or a sudden suggestionFor my pride to swallow Allowing me to view paired trunksLeading my horizon a different wayIntended for the mind’s eye to only imagineSo perhaps I’ll simply stayand just watch as if I knewThese lifeless bodies of vibrant colorsRunning past my point of viewLike a rainbow with no sunDo I see the only oneWhich seemsSo closeto me….-----© ISO Splash - Ramon Nayar. In the midst of an autumn breeze, I spotted a leaf from the maple trees. They were standing by the shore of Lake Marmo at the Morton Arboretum on a cloudy and yet comfortable afternoon. And I knew that I had found the perfect view despite the changes that fall goes through- shedding so much green into yellows and reds. And then I noticed two scars that would remain instead of the absence from any previous season that the Midwest brings and with good reason to enjoy the transitions in a refreshed manner. Two steps forward and one step back was never meant to have its progress lack but perhaps to reflect on what it was meant to protect. For it was the memory of moments that moved me and the feelings renewed that proved free from an otherwise monotone day. -----© ISO Splash - Ramon Nayar. All Rights Reserved. "This Windowed View of Change"
Days are few and far between where rays of meaning shine through for one to stop and see a windowed view of change. And all those New Year’s resolutions synced with the full circling of the sun didn’t seem to carry the true surroundings of reinvention let alone the intention of stopping this or starting that. Maybe the mere human being in me can’t quite grasp the bigger world of happenings which goes otherwise unnoticed in so many ways. And then I see those rays and blooming colors that only a fall morning can bring. And the world doesn’t seem so overwhelming- rather welcoming to the possibilities of an entire day waiting to be embraced.© ISO Splash – Ramon Nayar. All Rights Reserved.
